We've made it to week six. People kept saying that week six would be one of those turning point weeks. Perhaps, it is! In the last two days, I've been smiled at three times. I'm going to assume they're legitimate smiles since I talk to her, she looks at me and smiles. Today she went five hours between feedings...a new personal best(now if that happened at night...). And, not every diaper has poop in it, magical, I know. But, to just change a wet diaper now and then is a nice change of pace. Of course, when the time comes, the poop comes in large quantities.
Who knew I'd blog about baby poop? Probably anyone who knows me.
As for myself, it's also the week in which the medical community says I'm back to normal after childbirth. If normal means I've only lost half of my baby weight...(yes, I gained 50 pounds!) I'm not ashamed to admit my early pregnancy Cheeto addiction. The alternative was throwing up, I'd much rather gain an extra 20 pounds than spend three months bowing to my toilet. I've heard after six weeks, extra pounds just start to melt off. I'm going to be naive and believe this for now...Of course, this six week mark means I also have my doctor's clearance to exercise. Darn. No more excuses...I'm actually pretty excited to start my exercise dvds again. I'd just started an exercise regimine which was producing nice results last year when I found out I was pregnant, so I'm going to pick that up again and see where it takes me. Hopefully, it takes the baby pouch away. My last doctor's appointment until a year from now was today. I'll miss going there, it was always a happy place, except when I almost died from the gestational diabetes test. Okay, maybe I didn't almost die, but I thought I saw God.
Another big milestone, I'm wearing my wedding rings. After having them off since May, they are on my fingers!! They're sized right, shiny and sparkly! Our microwave is also fixed, everything is coming up Milhouse!
