Let's Compare

I grew up in Anoka County. There are a few stereotypes associated with Anoka County even more specifically, Blaine. When I lived in Blaine, it was 50's era ramblers, trailer parks and sod fields with some new development creeping in. Now it's rated one of the top cities to live in, has a TPC golf course and multi-million dollar homes (along with 50s ramblers, trailer parks and a few remaining sod fields).

It wasn't uncommon to see this.

Ella is growing up in Ramsey County. It doesn't have the same stereotypes, as I can tell. Plus, you know things are different when rather than have a minivan up on blocks, we have an old historic house up on blocks...

This is a house on our street. It's being turned on the lot and a basement is being added. It's been quite the process to watch and hilarious to see a house on blocks.

In news of the Ella. She is enjoying rice cereal now that we're mixing it with water and a splash of juice. So far, she's had apple and pear juice and really likes it. She's been eating everything in the bowl. We had our second evening of swimming lessons last night. She just loves swimming. The moment she gets in the water, those little legs start kicking and don't stop. She's all smiles!

This weekend we're heading to South Dakota for a family reunion and next weekend, we're going to New York City! Ella's quite the traveller.

This is just a cute picture of sleeping Ella.
