Week 32

Ella's had a busy week, always on the go. As always, it's easiest to sum it up with pictures.


This isn't a new phenomenon for Ella, but when she's on her back, she's constantly doing a stomach crunch. I finally got a picture of it. It's pretty funny to see. She just wants to be sitting up all of the time. Now when she's on her stomach, she's starting to push up on her arms. She'll be crawling in no time. Probably skipping the whole rolling thing!


I tried to give Ella her first snack. Here she is with Cheerios! She looks excited to have them, but, she has no idea what to do with them. She will eat them, if you put them in her mouth. Weirdo.


Last Friday, we packed up a picnic and picked up Loran from work and all headed over to 3M's Tartan Park. We had a nice dinner and Ella had her little picnic dinner too.

Time to go home, Ella!


For living so close to the lake, you'd think we'd be there all of the time. On Sunday, we took Ella for her first lake swim. The beach is so shallow, Ella could just sit in the sand and splash.


She figured out how to drink lake water. She'd dunk her hand in and immediately bring it up to her mouth, suck the water and then dunk it back in again. We kept trying to stop her, but it was hopeless. When we'd stop her, she'd then try to suck the water off of our hands or arms. Kids drink lake all of the time, I'm sure it's fine.




Even out of the water, dressed and dry, the hands need to be in the mouth. At least when she's sucking on her hands, she can't grind her teeth!


On Tuesday, Ella had her first visit to St. Cloud. We met Rhonda for lunch, a drive through campus, a walk through the gardens and a visit to ING.







Tonight is the last Marketfest of the season. Chelsey is coming over Saturday to go to the beach with Ella on Saturday. Ella has been a stubborn eater the last few nights. She'll eat fine during the day but once it's time for her dinner and final bottle, she wants nothing of either. Hopefully it's just a little stage because it's getting old fast.


And thus concludes week 32 in the life of Ella!
