Of course, all good things have to come to an end. We spent Labor Day dodging the 90 degree heat and welcomed the first day of school with a cold front. Ella and I took a walk this morning to watch the kids in the neighborhood board the bus for their first day of school. I love seeing the excited little kids at the bus stops in their brand new clothes and shoes with fresh haircuts. In a week, they'll look disheveled so it's best to enjoy it now.
I spent the day going between emergency dentist visit to emergency endodontic visit to try to figure out why my tooth has been hurting since Sunday night. The dentist thought I needed a root canal. The endodontist doesn't. So, it's good to not need any procedures done, it's still odd to have random, undiagnosable tooth pain.
To celebrate not needing a root canal - we went to Cup and Cone - for the first time of the season. May I remind you that it was 90 yesterday. Today was cloudy, windy and 65 while we sat on a bench, eating the first ice cream we've purchased from Cup and Cone since they opened for the warm weather season...waaaaay baaaaack in the spring. It's about time. Next year, Ella can have a cone, if she ever decides she likes ice cream. So far, she is not impressed.

My dental problems did provide us with an extra day with Daddy. He graciously came home after being at work for an hour to take care of Ella and me and we bopped around from dental office to dental office.
