This morning Loran took some photos of Ella for her first passport! Then after everyone was dressed, fed and ready, we headed over to city hall to get Ella's passport in process. This is a very exciting day for Loran. Here's the photo shoot.
To celebrate (?) we went to McDonald's for lunch (because Loran had a coupon). Ella had her first Happy Meal, and got a little toy (we requested a toddler toy). She really likes her little toy. Later in the day, I had to dig some of the Happy Meal box out of her mouth - she apparently really likes that too. Her teeth are extremely sharp and her jaw is extremely strong. I'm lucky to have emerged with all of my fingers intact.

We went to church early so we could have dinner before service. It was enchilada night, but since it's church, they don't really have highchairs. Ella sat like a big girl, in a regular seat up at the table. She ate an entire piece of corn bread (well...there was a surplus of crumbs on her chair) and quite a few crackers and Cheerios. She was pretty good, except when she learned how fun pulling the table cloth could be.
I only had my cell phone, but you get the idea.Another fun development involves Ella becoming a little bit mobile. When we put her up to the couch to stand, she can slowly cruise across the couch. She only moves to the left and eventually runs out of couch - but she's moving!
