One Small Step for Man...One Giant Leap for ELLA!

It's always magical when your child takes those first steps. But when your child is 21 months old, been receiving physical therapy at least once a week for seven months, gone through an MRI and numerous painful blood tests - the first steps take on a whole new meaning. Even Loran got choked up - which of course, sent me into near tears.

She still isn't motoring all over on her own, just between mom and dad with a few rogue steps here and there, it's amazing to us. Considering, when we started PT in March, she could only pivot on her belly.

To celebrate, Ella tucked some bacon into her hair for future snacking this morning. Ella figured she'd need the protein to get through the Munchkin Market Consignment Sale at the fairgrounds and the Como Zoo this morning. But, we foiled her plan and gave her a bath - eliminating all bacon and bacon grease from the scene.
