Noman

Last year, we had so much snow, so early we were practically snowed in most of the fall, all winter and into the spring. We didn’t see the girls’ Cozy Coupe car until the end of April. This year, we haven’t had more than two inches of snowfall in over two months. It’s been warm(er) and snowless for the most part. While I can’t complain about the weather, a few more inches of snow would be fun. We’ve got sledding and forts to work on with hot chocolate to follow…still waiting. However, last week, we had another warm streak, so Lily and I got snow pants, boots, coats, hats and mittens on. After two minutes outside, Lily had her mittens off. They were totally getting in the way of her shoveling.

It was perfect snowball/snowman rolling snow. Because our front yard is about 6 feet by 10 feet (no joke) I was able to make a snowman approximately the same height as Lily. It was somewhat difficult because Lily was busy shoveling snow from one pile to another and then was trying to chip away at the snowman’s base with her shovel. Lily has a love/hate relationship with our “noman” – she loves to look out the window to see him, loves to wave to him from the car, does not like to stand anywhere near it. We even attempted to play catch with it, but anytime her ball landed near it, she would very cautiously approach and stretch her arm to its limit so as not to get any closer, all why keeping her eye on this roly-poly guy.

We took a little ride around the yard and the neighbor’s yard in the sled. Played around the backyard, took some time on the swings and now Lily is loving being outside playing. Now, if only we could get some more snow to play in before spring.
