The old joke, you find out you’ll be parenting a daughter so you buy a gun to ward off all those boys. Or the saying, when you have a boy, you only have to worry about one boy. When you have a girl, you have to worry about every boy.
Today, Ella brought home a note in her backpack. It would seem innocent enough at first glance…
If you aren’t proficient at reading preschool, it reads: “I love you Lily. You are my <3”
…except I know that Ella can write her name, and that’s about it. This was not Ella’s doing.
I asked Ella about it and she handed it to Lily and said it was from a boy in her class whom we shall refer to as “C” – so as to protect his identity.
Loran’s a little nervous.
