One week and one day until our closing. Loran’s been gathering a submitting paperwork for our mortgage, we’ve been signing our name on documents nightly in preparation for the big signings to come.
Our house received paint touch-ups, our accent paint and an address block (Yeah! Pizza delivery!)
The biggest painting surprise was housed within the house. As a special treat, our builder arranged to have Ella and Lily’s room painted to match their new bedspreads. I stationed myself in their room to capture the reveal. The door cracked open and two giggly girls came in. They were so excited that they “found” me, that they didn’t take in the room at first. Then they stopped and looked around. Lily started giggling even more, Ella had the shock and awe reaction. Three blue walls, one pink wall and a blue ceiling. It’s just gorgeous!
A to-do list that I don’t have to worry about. Yay! The inaugural door bell ringing.
The back fence was installed – no more fear of Lily launching herself off the wall! The outside wood was stained – the girls enjoyed watching a landscaping crew get their bobcat unstuck from the thick mud. A second fan installed for the back porch.
Today the girls and I drove by after picking Lily up from school, in the sprinkles, we got landscaping! Holly sent us photos of the completed yard!
