A week and a half ago, Ella’s school held a carnival. We got there right when it started, there was much excitement. We’d purchased Ella a wristband and $10 worth of tickets ahead of time. Once we were there, she was scared of all of the games/bounce houses. She did enjoy the small games that local vendors had at their booths, subsequently, she now has a dentist appointment for next week at the office of one of those vendors…

We spent the majority of our time playing at the playground, used our $10 to purchase gigantic pieces of pizza and enjoyed the book walk – like a cake walk, but with books. We perused the silent auction and in the end, Ella was the winner of a pizza party with the Pre-K teachers and passes to the Children’s Museum. Score! She’s very excited about the pizza party.

Both girls barely made it out of the parking lot before passing out.

Every Saturday night, in the nearby Hill Country Galleria, there is live music. We finally made it out a week and a half ago. Everyone was healthy. Ella was rocking a very 80s inspired outfit  - Loran kept asking her when Jazzercise class was.

The band was great. The entertainment was spectacular. The girls eyed some other children who were dancing and doing gymnastics near us. Next thing you know, both girls were launching themselves through the air and along the ground – doing “gymnastics”- it was quite spectacular.

I think we’ll be back for subsequent weeks to take in the music. If anything, it burns some energy and leaves Loran and I smiling!

The following day, we were able to enjoy the pool while our friends and family in Minnesota were “enjoying” yet another snowfall in the never-ending winter. We picked a great year to move.

Wouldn’t you know, I sat down to catch up with my writing last week and our modem was dead. DEAD. The modem that we’ve had for only four months. AT&T sent out a new one, that didn’t arrive until early this week, so I just kept falling behind.
