Ella Goes To College!

Earlier in the year, we participated in a research study at The University of Texas.  Tonight we were back with Ella, 5-year old research subject for "Children's Learning in Social Networks" - where the researchers were studying how children's learning of words and grammar is affected by social context.  Ella was a control, so she didn't have made-up words or social pressure to use nonsensical words, but instead was responding with actual words for things she actually knew.  Her reward was a book called Froggy Goes to Camp.

Outside of a little shyness, Ella did a great job with her researchers.  I think she's ready for college!
