As Ella's often-absent-from-this-blog Dad, I feel a little guilty about not writing more often.
This Sunday is four+ straight hours of Ella & Dad time as Christy goes off to some Creative Memories party and buys more adhesives and cutting devices, which (shameless plug) are products my company also makes.
Ella's times with her mom sound like a lot of fun, age-appropriate, engaging, usually-end-up-with-cute-pictures-and-stories kind of experiences. Time with me has recently centered on debating the Zimbabwean elections, preparing to be election monitors in the 2009 Mozambican elections, understanding the commodities markets and watching Mythbusters on TV. We get in some tummy time, too.
So, for Sunday, we have some better things going:
-I put Baby Einstein Baby's First Sounds and Baby's First Shapes on hold online at the Ramsey County Library. We haven't actually watched any Baby Einstein yet, but this may be good for a few minutes.
-The U of Minn. Extension service has this article on playing with your 7-month-old.

-Similar 7-month-old play list at eHow.

I'm pleased to see my world of Interactive Marketing and my world of Dad coming together so well. I wonder how people raised children before the Internet was around. I remember playing with wood blocks and other semi-injurious objects.
