Ella's Weekend Wrap-Up

Ella has had another action packed weekend. Ella is now 39 weeks old which means she's been on the outside longer than she's been on the inside. Whoa!

She now has gained some wisdom in her old age. She knows there's a tag on the area rug. She's bound and determined to get it off, or at least visit it when she is near that part of the rug. She still can't get there under her own power.

I've found that Ella will nap better if I put her down on her side. It must be cozier. But she'll nap for 1.5-2 hours vs. her usual half hour. The only problem...when she wakes up, her arm has fallen asleep, so she cries.
Ella attended her first political rally on Friday. McCain and Palin were in Blaine so we went to see it. It was really fun and Ella and I had a great time. We were literally in the middle of 13,000 people in an airplane hanger.
The funniest part was at the end when we were leaving, everyone was crowded together to get out the same opening in the gate. Well, Ella took that opportunity to stroke the legs of everyone who was standing near her stroller. They were mildly disturbed and I was a little embarrassed...but hey, they were the ones who were in her bubble. Ella was such a good girl during the entire rally. She fell asleep through part of it, which was amazing considering the cheering. She was also fascinated by the pom-poms that people were shaking and made friends with the baby whose stroller was parked next to hers.
Friday night we went to visit Alex and Christy at their house for a BBQ. We had a great time and Ella was rather well behaved despite not getting much of a nap. She also figured out how to throw her food off of the high chair to feed their dog, Bear. She and Bear had a love/hate relationship though. She loved feeding him, but she was scared when he'd bark. They were cute together.
Saturday was a boring cleaning day. Mom and Dad cleaned out the garage and Ella supervised. Ella did have some food issues during her dinner. I'm not sure what happened, but it was a disaster in the end!
Later in the night, Ella tried on a dress that used to be Mommy's. The Lion dress. Ella's going to wear it tomorrow for her 9 month photos.
Sunday was again busy! We went with Alex and Christy to a winery in St. Croix Falls, WI for their Wine Festival. We had a great time. Ella had a little stranger anxiety to begin with which was frustrating to us since she'd just seen Alex and Christy two days prior without any troubles. Eventually, we got past that and had a good time on the tour and wine tasting.
Ella seems to be working on tooth #7 & 8 which may be why she's been crying more than usual this weekend. By more than usual, I mean...she never cries, and this weekend, she cried a few times.

I love your blog, you crack me up. Ella cracks me up too with her leg stroking, too funny! That is so neat you have one of your old dresses for her to wear, it's way cute too!
