Sippy Cup Show-down and the Tiny Dancer

I think I need to shelve the grand one nap idea for awhile. Ella still seems pretty adamant about taking two short naps. The other day, she powered through lunch, I could tell she was tired and ready to sleep. I was dreaming of what I'd do with my two baby-free hours (clean the bathroom, etc!) and what do you know, she was up after a half hour and then cat napped for the next hour. Oh well, at least she naps.

We're also trying to get Ella to take a sippy cup rather than a bottle. She's had a sippy cup at meals since she's started solids, but she really just likes to shake them, gnaw on them and pound them on the tray. We've tried several always with the same results. Finally, I bought some Nuby cups having read recommendation after recommendation towards them.

Ella reviews the various drinking options

Last night, Ella drank all of her bedtime milk from the cup - we didn't even have to switch to the bottle halfway through due to anger! My baby's growing up - which is great since we're almost out of bottle liners! :)

Ella continues to work on standing. She's still not pulling herself up to stand, but likes to stand when we put her up to things. Loran is working on the pulling up - every night, Ella and Daddy do 24 pull-ups.

I took this video of Ella dancing this morning. Ella likes to boogie. We already know she likes the nightlife.

that's great I love the dancing, specially the head shaking! I also love the bottle/sippy cup picture! With Ahnika we used the "are you kidding me" cups - which I guess she used well, I don't remember any issues with her and them but I didn't like them b/c they never fit in any cup holders. So, this time around I have some Playtex brand ones and I do have a Nuby (sp) one too - I already don't care for the Gerber one we have b/c the stopper comes out on that instantly when Cully throws it to the ground. :) Who knew there would be such research in sippy cups?
