Como, the zoo - not the lake.

Earlier this week, we joined our friends from Bible study for a trip to the zoo. We were a sight to see - a stroller parade!
A meeting of the minds/the bosses.

This was a fun trip because Ella is getting to the age where you can point things out to her, explain things and she's starting to get it. Now she actually watches the animals and gets to excited to see them.

She loved the seals, seeing the puffin feet as they swam around, little monkeys, but her favorite was the sloth. I know, the sloth? It was actually quite active, by sloth standards, and Ella just laughed every time it would reach for a branch and move around.
Seals!

Watching the sloth.

We're finally enjoying some sunshine after days of rain and cold weather. We need the rain, since our giant lake is slowly disappearing - making going to the beach less fun. But, the stretch of clouds and cold were tough on the psyche. Especially when you have to take your evening walk, in June, with hats and mittens.
Even Ella was disapproving of these chunky driving gloves. She really prefers Italian leather. But, had to settle with Thermolite fleece.
