It's Almost Time to Invest in a Kid Leash

After nap, I walked in to find Ella sitting up again. This is the second time, which firms up our plans to move her mattress to its lowest setting this weekend. But then, she moved from sitting, into crawling, crawled over to the side of the crib and pulled herself up to stand. Sorry about the quality, it was all filmed on my cell phone, which was free - two years ago - to tell you anything of it's high quality. We're not on any 3G network here!

And to make things more exciting. I was out pulling weeds in the garden while Ella played on her blanket. At most, she's moved to the edge of the blanket so she can pick and eat the grass along the perimeter. But today, after some thorough thought, pondering and testing of the "waters" Ella crawled off the blanket and over to the garden (15 feet or so) to "help" me with my tasks. Needless to say, gardening was over a little earlier than planned, but Ella was pretty proud of herself - and did manage to eat some grass.

I love reading your little adventures with your adorable child. But Christy, you have to promise that you will not actually get the kid leash! Don't become THAT mom! You and Ella are too cute to fall into that category! :-)

No one likes the baby leash until you actually have a child. And if that child's a runner - they seem like a God-send. But, right now, I don't think Ella will be a runner because she's pretty cautious...but we'll see!

Maybe we'll just opt for underground fencing and the shock collar. :)
