The Wild Thing

Ella continues to walk all over. She just loves it. Her little personality is really showing through. Lots of crazy antics.

Another busy weekend for us, specifically on Sunday. After church, we drove along the St. Croix to enjoy the leaves and stopped in Stillwater for lunch. Ella did a decent job of not melting down at Nacho Mama's despite the extremely long wait for food. And by the time her food came, she'd already filled up on chips and Trix. A decent lunch.
After a failed attempt at napping, we headed over to the Children's Museum for Target's Free Third Sunday. The beautiful weather saved us from being mobbed in the museum. Typically, on free days, I've heard that the museum is filled to epic proportions. But it was quite nice when we were there. Ella was walking all over, checking things out.

Before bed, we tried Ella's Halloween costume on. Here's a sneak preview. Grrrrr....

We finally had a decent enough day for me to take Ella out to the tree. It's the neighborhood tree where every kid in the neighborhood has to pose for cute fall photos. When the lot is finally developed, someone should warn the new neighbors of what they're to expect during this time of year. Exceptional cuteness.

The tree was a little more spectacular last year...since it hadn't snowed several inches by this time a year ago.
But, because walking is hard work, sometimes you fall. And last night Ella tumbled into a doorway. She got over the crying quickly, but was left with quite the egg on her noggin. Fortunately, it was barely noticeable by bedtime and gone today. No child services for us...this time! But, this is the stage for bumps and bruises. Coincidentally, Ella has learned how to say "hockey" and just roams around the house saying hockey over and over...so paired with her bump, it was quite fitting.

She is so cute! Her hair is beautiful!
Ouch to the bump on the head. Simon gets a lot of those. :) Walking is hard work.
