Ella's been giving us quite the run with her sleeping. Or, non-sleeping. We tuck her into her bed, she seems so peaceful and relaxed and before you can even pull the door closed, she's opening it. We keep the gate at her door, so she can't get out. But, we still have to tuck her in multiple times. She's been staying up until we go to bed. Then she gives up and stays in bed. It's difficult to not have any downtime without Ella.
Naps are a toss-up. Sometimes she'll crawl into bed on her own and ask for Chewy and she'll nap. Other times, like today, it's multiple attempts.
Lily is doing well with her sleeping. Most nights she eats around 10:30, goes down to bed and then sleeps until 4:30/5 before waking to eat again. Then, she goes back down for 2-3 hours. That's pretty decent. She's pretty awake during the daytime though, which makes it hard to get anything done. I'll accept daytime awakeness for nighttime asleepness.
I've ordered Lily's scrapbooks for her first year and put in my first photo order. The pregnancy and first month equaled 300 photos. And so it begins...
We've been enjoying the above normal temps, which has meant more walks and lots of playing outside. Ella wasn't mobile last summer save some crawling towards the end of summer, so this is a nice change. She's even wiped out on the driveway quite a few times and just pops up and dusts off her hands, despite a little road rash. Good thing Loran keeps us well stocked in bandages. We're going to need them come sundress/shorts weather! The change in season has also made me introduce sandals to Ella. I practically had to sit on her and wrestle them on her feet while she screamed and tried to wiggle away. Apparently, sandals are tools of torture to Ella. Then, she refused to walk in them and would just stand awkwardly in the middle of the room. Did I fail to mention these sandals were made of concrete? Well, apparently that's what a nice flexible neoprene sandal feels like to Ella. Within twenty minutes of tough love, she warmed up to them and was then walking throughout the house exclaiming "ohhhh, cuuuuute!" in reference to her death sandals. She confuses me. But, she's hilarious.
