Most of the day was spent cleaning in preparation for our house appraisal Monday morning. Interest rates are so low, it would be silly not to refinance! The appraiser even said, he's not judging the cleanliness of our house...but there's no way I could tolerate having someone in charge of putting a price on our home see the bottles and sippy cups stacked in the sink, the toy explosion or the Picasso-esse drawings in our tub. Ella's going through a red period with her tub crayons. Unfortunately, when you rub it off, it looks like blood running down the walls. red rum, red rum...
Loran's a great father to his little girls. He provides a great mix of love, care and compassion along with some rough and tumble play. He changes diapers, cleans up vomit, gives baths and goes on outings with them- solo. He's a little shy about brushing and styling wild-girl hair, so usually a well placed barrette is the best we can get. He teaches them important things. Ella equates the word "collapse" with Greece, knows the periodic table, Linnean classification, days of the week, etc. They studied the Zimbabwe election when Ella was a baby. He also spends time learning about them. Currently, our house is peppered with potty training books, and Loran's beloved copy of Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters
Despite the fact Loran is the only man, surrounded by all things girl...
They're not too prim and proper as to not play hard and be tough...
Show their daddy support through big smiles, hugs and stylish clothing...
And always remain on the move so as to keep us nice and busy.
<3 Ella and Lily say, we love our Daddy, always and forever. *body slam!*
