Hi Ho Cherry-o! Don't eat the Cherries. Quit it. Stop! Yuck!

We were extremely excited for the first Marketfest of the season on Thursday. But, we were threatened by severe weather - and tornadoes. I knew it must be serious if running was canceled. We have run through some of the grossest weather this year, but this was our first actual cancellation. We hunkered down and waited for the storms to roll through. By storms, I mean, light pitter-patter rain that fell for all of ten minutes. The sky did get all kinds of shades of funky, but I think that can mostly be attributed to the sun angle as it set. So, we didn't go to Marketfest. But, we did crack open Ella's Hi-Ho Cherry-O game.

Apparently, they're serious about this age 3+ rating. I figured my child was genius enough to comprehend it. It's Hi-Ho Cherry-O, not rocket science. Nope. It's Ella's version of rocket science. Apparently, it's also Loran and my version too since we played our first game completely backwards and wrong...But, we had fun. Mostly, we spent the game watching Ella spin with reckless abandon, even when it wasn't her turn and trying to convince her not to eat the cherries. And then not to throw them at us when we wouldn't let her eat them. It was a somewhat tiring game night. Not for Ella, despite putting her to bed at 9, she stayed up until well past 11. *sigh* There were two big winners, Ella and myself!

Clearly, this is a snack platter.
