Last weekend, we headed up to Little Falls for the wedding of my college friend Katie. We barely made the wedding, dressing the girls in the car, but we were on time for the beautiful outdoor nuptials. Ella and Lily did a great job at the ceremony. Lillian spent a good deal of time during the ceremony staring at Loran and chatting with him. These recent weddings have made Loran and I think about having to watch our baby girls get married some day. So exciting, but heart wrenching all the same.
The reception was definitely their favorite part. We were able to grace our company with good behavior by the girls because of my free flowing supply of Cheerios. It was definitely a Cheerio open bar, and it worked well. When asked, Ella claimed her favorite part of the wedding was “dance with Dad!” And dance she did! She did require an outfit change, but that didn’t inhibit her party style.
When we arrived back at the hotel, Ella was not willing to sleep. It took a lot of coaxing, a Vicks foot massage, stories and songs to get her to drift off. Once she did, she stayed asleep. The morning provided plenty of fun with two little girls in matching pjs. These two are just hilarious.
Yes, Lillian does nearly shove her entire pacifier in her mouth. I don’t know how she does it. Trouble, nothing but trouble with that girl!
